Dear Ben,
Congratulations on your up and coming 58th wedding anniversary, I really wish you all the best. You sure need to prepare something special to celebrate this big event and I know you'll find something appropriate for the occasion. If you need any suggestions, please feel free to ask.
I have a garden too, a small one and I love it. Growing vegetables is very satisfying, not to speak about the taste of the vegetables and the quality of them with no pesticides, g.m.o. etc.
A presto,

Good morning Patty
First of all let me say how nuch I enjoy your letter.
On our 25th wedding anniversary, my wife informed me that after all that time she was a little tired of cooking, and that I was to start taking over the chore. It was meant in fun of course, but after thinking about it for a while, I decided to try my hand at it. To make a long story longer, I really enjoyed playing around with food to get different effects. I have a very large vegetable garden, and grow all of my own produce. We give a lot of it away, but there is such a quanty, that I have enough to freeze for the winter.
Anyway, after some dismal failures, I began to improve, and got better and better at cooking. As of now, I do it all. I have learned many things, thanks to people like you who take the time and trouble to gather information and send it out to us. Take this latest recipe for "fake sauce". It looks like a great idea, and I intend to try it this coming Sunday. I'm sure it will be good.
My wife and I will be celebrating out 58th wedding anniversary this coming June, so I am searching for something different to prepare for her. She deserves it for putting up with me far all these years.
Well, thanks for all your efforts, wish you UNA BUONA SALUTE, BUONA FORTUNA, E TUTTE COSE BELLE.
Ciao
